Solution Architect

Are you passionated by IT and looking for a new challenge as Solution Architect? Would you like being in charge of leading the practice and introducing the overall technical vision for solutions?

Are you able to execute business/technology impact assessments and solution designs in order to provide a systems solution to a specific business need, or to solve a current technology problem?

For this role, you would be working within projects to design both logical and physical components of solution architectures.

Responsibilities:

Design of the solution architecture

• You manage (construct, update and develop) the map for the solution & ensure that the map matches with the strategic plan.
• You specify and validate the standards and frameworks for the IS functional architecture.
• You propose scenarios for the development and simplification of the solution, taking into account issues related to management decision-making, changing supply conditions, changes in needs, organizational constraints etc.
• You gather, review (fit/gap analysis), interpret and respond to business requirements for the projects and translate them into system guidelines, project features and phases.
• You ensure that the solution is used to its full potential and remains within a perennial standard
• You ensure the solution agility and integrity across work streams.
• You report on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes.
• You design and build integration flows and data models between the solution and its environment
• You maintain and ensure that documentation, deliverables and governance follow the standard architecture management process and delivers expected results
• You lead design authority and participate to Architecture Community of Practices

Ensuring the consistency of the solution

• You evaluate the relevance and consistency of projects regarding the target architecture and existing systems (through opportunity studies, definition of needs, choice of architecture for the functional system, etc.).
• You contribute to the global urbanization of the IT system
• You take part in the architecture authority in your domain, notably with the Architecture Communities of Practice.

Architecture Expertise

• You act as an expert on architecture; foster the implementation of best practices with a strong awareness of associated technologies
• You provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment
• You work closely with the Enterprise Architect of your domain, review and investigate the choice of new solutions and bring your solution expertise
• You provide your expertise to Software Asset Managers (SAM) for the management of solution providers
• You keep up to date with editors (new functionalities and roadmap) in order to share them during the Architecture Communities of Practice and to identify upstream the needs of Sodexo's Business.

Communication

• You meet with Business to demonstrate solutions, answer questions and work to resolve issues that arise during software development
• You use advisory and communication initiatives to promote the information system map among Business Unit management and the Executive management.
• You work in direct and permanent partnership with the Business Unit managers on one side and the managers of the functional and technical domains for the IS on the other to remain informed on business objectives and priorities
• You build and maintain positive and trusted relationships that motivate, guide and reinforce the best practice use of IT solutions with all stakeholders

Profiel

• You have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role – You are in possession of a University / Master’s degree or equivalent
• You have a solid experience in Architecture : Application architecture principles - Interface architecture principles - Distributed system architecture principles & System design : Application & Solution Design
• You have a solid experience with Data management & analysis : Meta Data Management - Master Data Management & Integration & system deployment : System integration
• You are fully up to date with the latest processes, methodologies and tools : Business Process Modeling
• You have an experience with Information Security :Security principles applied to architecture
• You have strong communication skills in Dutch / Flemish, French and English
• You are communicative, result & quality oriented, structured
• You cultivate innovation & collaboration
• You are a real team player
• You have Business Insight - you have preferably experience in multiple business environments and sectors
• You are a nimble learner
